SCREENWRITING WORKSHOP WITH ANJUM RAJABALI
FEBRUARY 14-21 • 5 evening sessions
Distinguished Indian screenwriter Anjum Rajabali will lead a five-part workshop for writers with feature film or television scripts in progress. Each participant will have a private session with Mr. Rajabali as well as four group meetings. This workshop is open to everyone, but will be of particular interest to anyone interested in writing for the South Asian market.
Anjum Rajabali is one of India’s best known screenwriters, with ten feature film credits including Aarakshan (2011), Raajneeti (2010) and The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002). He’s worked with legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Naseruddin Shah and Maidhuri Dixit as well as directors Prakash Jha, Shaji N. Karun, and Abishek Chaubey. He is head of the screenwriting program at Mumbai’s famed Whistling Woods Institute and honorary head of screenwriting at FTII, the national film school in Pune. He’s mentored writers at many international script labs including eQuinoxe in France, Mira Nair’s MAISHA in Uganda, and the new Sundance Institute workshop in Mumbai.
